Chandra Grahan on Holi 2026: What to do during Lunar Eclipse explained by Premanand Maharaj
As we all know that Chandra Grahan is going to occur on March 3, 2026 and this will be the first lunar eclipse of the year. This time period is not considered auspicious as Chandra Grahan is associated with Moon and it is associated with emotions, feelings, mind and thoughts. This year, Lunar Eclipse will take place on the festival of colors, Holi, which makes it rare and unique. But people are advised to take proper care during this time period and avoid playing Holi during Chandra Grahan. Though, there are so many do's and don'ts, which people should follow but today we are talking about Premanand ji Maharaj, who resides in Vrindavan, explained everything about Chandra Grahan so let's check out:
Maharaj ji has explained the powerful of Naam Japa many a times because according to him, Naam japa is the only way to stay protected from every evil energy. He said; Grahan time is not auspicious because during this time, the power of negative energies are very high which is not good for the people so they should engage themselves in the naam japa activity because naam japa can balance their emotions, mind and calm. This will also ward off all the evil spirits and negative energies. Naam japa creates an aura around the person who is chanting the name of the god so it works as a protective shield.
Chandra Grahan is the most powerful time period, when people are advised to make few preparations before Chandra Grahan. It is very important to take bath half an hour before the eclipse then choose the noiseless place, where they can place their aasana and sit silently and do their naam japa. If you already prepare yourself in this way then no negative energy will affect you.
It is very important to cleanse your body, mind and soul after the eclipse because during the eclipse time, your body and mind becomes weak and full of negative energies so it is very important to continue your naam japa for about half an hour after the eclipse then take a bath and then engage in other worldly activities.
This time, Chandra Grahan is taking place on the day of Holika Dahan so one should be careful and take proper precautions. According to the Premanand ji Maharaj, this time is considered as the powerful for the spiritual purification so one must get engaged in the spiritua activities such as Naam Jap and chant Guru Mantra so that you can stay protected from the evil energies and negativity.
