3. Apply tilak on their forehead, tie red sacred thread (Mauli), wash their feet and give them proper place to sit.

4. Give them food, piece of coconut, gifts, dakshina and seek their blessings by touching their feet as this ritual represents the respect for the divine feminine energy, which will remove all the doshas, sufferings, sins and old karmic patterns.
