As we all know that Ram Janmotsav is going to be celebrated in Ayodhya with immense happiness and fervor as this was the place where Lord Shri Ram was born. This year, Ram Navami is going to be celebrated on March 27 in Ayodhya city.
Surya Tilak is the ritual, when sun rays are diverted to touch the forehead of the Ram Lalla idol at exactly 12 PM on the auspicious day of Ram Navami. On Ram Navami, a complex system of mirrors and lenses created by leading Indian scientists captures the sunlight directly into the sanctum sanctorum at precisely 12:00 PM, creating a dazzling, blazing Tilak on the forehead of the Ram Lalla deity. This magical moments lasts for few minutes. According to the reports; Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust, Gopal Rao said that Ram Navami festivities has already commenced in Ayodhya city. More than one lakh devotees are visiting in the temple to have a glimpse of Ram Lalla. According to him, Surya tilak will coincide with the noon aarti, which will take place at 12 PM. The sun rays will remain on the forehead for about four minutes so people will be able to have a glimpse of Surya Tilak.
The temple management have made proper arrangements for the devotees keeping in the view that there will be rush around the temple and all the devotees would not be able to witness this inside the temple so they installed television screens around the city, where they would be able to see all the ceremonies and Surya Tilak. To ensure equality and smooth crowd flow, the temple trust suspended the VIP darshan. The temple will remain open from early morning till late night. Devotees are eagerly for this mesmerizing moment, when they would be able to witness this with their eyes offer their prayers to Lord Shri Ram.
