According to the Hindu Scriptures, Narad Muni is known to be the sixth mind created son (Manas Putra) of Lord Brahma. As we have seen the role of Narad Muni in pictures and have listened to so many mythological stories, so he is considered as the first journalist in the universe and his role is always appreciated and liked by all the Hindus.
Narad Muni was an ardent devotee of Lord Vishnu and he had an ability to move anywhere in this whole universe including - Brahma Loka, Paatal Loka, Vishnu Loka and Prithvi Loka which is known as Mrityu Lok. He always sings devotional songs dedicated to Lord Vishnu and play musical instruments “ Veena” and “Khartal”. It is believed that he was the only one, who narrated the story of Shri Ram to Rishi Valmiki. Narad Muni was a master of Six Aangas and here are the following six Angas - Pronunciation, Grammar, Prosody, Terms, Astronomy and Religious Rites.

There is a mention of Narad Muni in many Hindu Mythological Scriptures and Puranas such as Ramayana and Mahabharata. Narad Muni always used to warn the demons and deities for the problems in advance. The people, who belong to Vaishnavism, offer prayers to Narad Muni and they consider him as a divine soul, who was a great devotee of Lord Vishnu and glorified the stories of Lord Vishnu among other people.
