KOLKATA: It's a great relief for Indian recurve archer Rahul Banerjee when he got back his "missing" bow box a week before leaving for the London Olympics.
Banerjee lost his box while travelling to Ogden, USA to take part in the final qualifying event for the Olympics. Although he received the box after the event got started, Banerjee shot with a assimilated bow with spare parts taken from his teammates Jayanta Talukdar and Tarundeep Rai.

The India men's team finished second in Ogden to qualify for the London Olympics.
However, the same box again went "missing" during the archers return journey to Kolkata where the national camp was going on. After a series of complains and requests with Air France airlines, they were able to trace the missing box which was lying at the Paris airport where the team made a changeover while returning to India.
It was finally returned to the archer at the national camp on Tuesday.
"It's a great relief for me. I never faced such a situation in my life," Banerjee told TOI.
However, the Arjuna award winner is likely to opt for his old bow for the Olympics.
"My old bow suits much with the assimilated one I used at Ogden. Since the time for Olympics is not much now, I felt it will be better to continue with the old bow," Banerjee said.
