HTC One A9s smartphone with metal unibody, fingerprint sensor launched at IFA 2016
NEW DELHI: Taiwanese tech giant HTC has unveiled its latest mid-range smartphone - One A9s, at the IFA 2016. The smartphone will be available in Black, Gold and Silver colour options. However, there’s no word about the device’s price and availability yet.
On the specifications front, HTC One A9s boasts a 5-inch HD display with 720x1280 pixel resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Powering the device is an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor paired with 2GB/3GB of RAM. The phone offers 16GB/32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 2TB via microSD cards.
HTC One A9s runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS topped with the company’s Sense UI. The device sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies. There’s a fingerprint sensor and HTC BoomSound speakers on-board as well. Major connectivity options include 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC, with a 2,300mAh battery rounding off the spec sheet.
In related news, ZTE also showcased its flagship smartphone - Nubia Z11, at the ongoing IFA 2016 conference in Berlin, Germany. The Nubia Z11 was unveiled at MWC Shanghai, earlier this year. Available in Grey and Silver colour options, the device is expected to launch in United Kingdom, Europe and Asia (including India) this month.
Boasting a bezel-less design, the ZTE Nubia Z11 sports a 2.5D curved glass display. The 5.5-inch Full HD display offers a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. The Nubia Z11 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor paired with 4GB/6GB of RAM. There’s also 64GB/128GB of internal storage, further expandable up to 200GB via microSD cards.
The dual-sim smartphone sports a 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, as well as an 8MP front-facing camera with wide angle lens.
