Coolpad Mega smartphone launched with 8MP front camera at Rs 6,999
NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone brand Coolpad has launched its selfie-focused smartphone Mega in India. Priced at Rs 6,999, the smartphone will be available on Amazon starting August 24.
The smartphone sports an 8MP rear and front camera. While the rear camera comes with Sony sensor and auto-focus support, the front camera comes with f/2.2 aperture and 83 degree field of view to capture large groups.
As for other specifications, Coolpad Mega has a 5.5-inch IPS display with 2.5D Curve glass. Powering the handset is a 1GHz quad-core processor paired with 3GB RAM. It offers 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded further up to 32GB using a microSD card.
Unlike the other Coolpad devices, the Mega smartphone doesn't feature a fingerprint sensor. Sporting a metal-texture frame, the handset weighs 143gm and is 7.85mm thin.
The device offers 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options. The handset is powered by a 2,500mAh battery that the company claims can last up to 9 hours on single charge.
