Bannerghatta National Park

Located just 22 kilometers from Bengaluru, Bannerghatta National Park is a haven for wildlife lovers. This park is renowned for its biological park, butterfly park, and thrilling safari experiences. Visitors can spot tigers, lions, and elephants while learning about wildlife conservation efforts. The park also hosts a zoo and a rescue center, which rehabilitates animals rescued from captivity.

Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary

The Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary, located roughly 100 km from Bengaluru, is a nature lover's and adventurer's dream come true. Leopards, elephants, and the endangered grizzled giant squirrel are among the many species that call the sanctuary, which is dispersed along the banks of the Cauvery River, home. Activities available to visitors include coracle rides on the river, hiking trails, and fishing camps.

Biligiriranga Hills (BR Hills)

BR Hills, a little further out at about 170 kilometres from Bengaluru, provides a distinctive fusion of cultural and wildlife experiences. A sizable population of sloth bears, tigers, and leopards may be found in the Biligiri Rangaswamy Temple Tiger Reserve, which is located in the area. It is the perfect place for jeep safaris and birdwatching because of the thick forests and grasslands.

Nagarhole National Park

This national park is slightly farther from the city, but is worth all your effort, energy, and money. Part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, this park is famed for its tiger sightings and large elephant herds. Visitors can also opt to go for jungle safaris to witness the park’s rich biodiversity, which includes gaurs, wild dogs, and a variety of bird species.
