For those planning a trip from Delhi to Nainital, here's a guide on the best ways to reach this beautiful hill station.
By Road: One of the best ways to reach Nainital from Delhi is by road. The distance between Delhi and Nainital is around 300 kilometers, and the journey generally takes around 7 to 8 hours depending on traffic and conditions of the road. There are several routes you can take:
Via NH9 (Old NH24): This is the most common route, which takes you through Ghaziabad, Hapur, Moradabad, and Rampur. From Rampur, you can take a diversion towards Nainital via Bazpur.
Via NH44 and NH87: This route goes through Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, and Haridwar before connecting to the main road to Nainital. Though longer, this route offers beautiful scenic views of the hills as you approach Nainital.

Once you arrive at Kathgodam, taxis and buses are easily available to take you up the hills to Nainital.
