An engaging artistic melange
Artists Mena Malgonkar, Minoti Gore and Rupali Gore have come together to present their latest series of paintings in an exhibition titled Pot Pourri.
The three women — all from diverse backgrounds — have joined hands to put their thoughts on canvas. And the result is a collection of works that is unique, vibrant and, of course, diverse. The works, all in different sizes, aim to bring empty spaces to life.

With no specific subject or focus on any particular medium, the works instead pay attention to the simple and beautiful things in life that we often don’t notice.
“With Pot Pourri, we intend to bring simplicity back to paintings, hosting a mélange of landscapes, portraits, oils and acrylics. Every painting has a story — a reflection of beauty and grace,” says Mena Malgonkar, who is an in-space design expert and artist.
Ask them to describe art and the three unanimously say, “Art is an expression of one’s self, a recreation of your thoughts, your surroundings and a portrayal of your imagination.”
Pot Pourri by Mena Malgonkar, Minoti Gore and Rupali Gore can be viewed at Russian Center for Science & Culture, Pedder Road, from September 21 to 29, 11 am to 7 pm.
