A new love for spirituality

Our lives today are a whirlwind of emotions, stress, hardships, and an occasional sprinkle of happiness. Living in the 21st century is extremely demanding and requires you to be on your toes 24*7. And the stress of 10 different places when gets bubbled up into one large breakdown, and people start realising - ‘Hmm, maybe I should consider spirituality’.
Well, if this sounds similar, this 10-15-10 mantra is definitely for you. It only needs about 35 minutes of your day (less, or more) and soon you will find yourself in a much better place.

2/6

10 minutes of chanting

Chanting is one of the easiest ways to calm your mind, and the first step towards spirituality. Chanting, jaap, rosary sessions, etc have all been used for centuries and have one common aim - to focus the mind and connect you with higher energies.

And in 10-15-10, the first 10 minutes of your day have to be dedicated to chanting. This will help you have a positive, calmer start to the day, and the constant repetitions, over a period of time will centre your mind, reduce stress, and create a sense of inner peace.

3/6

15 minutes of activity

The second part of 10-15-10 comes in the form of 15 minutes of moving the body. It could be cardio, yoga, weight lifting, strength training, HIIT, or a mix of it all. What you wish to do is upto you, but remember to invest 15 minutes of your morning on your physical health which will eventually help better your mental health as well.

Common things you can do during those 15 minutes are - stretching, brisk walk, dancing, hula-hooping, or anything that gives you joy.

4/6

10 minutes of meditation

The final 10 minutes of the mantra are dedicated to meditation. The benefits and importance of meditation cannot be stressed enough, and it is that one holistic thing that will give you calmness, relaxation, better mood, energy, and best of all, mental clarity.

After chanting and moving the body, meditation will help you centre yourself and develop mindfulness. Just sit quietly, focus on your breath, and observe your thoughts without judgment.

5/6

35 minutes a day, 24 hours of peace

Adding this 10-15-10 ritual to your everyday life will not just help you have a positive start to the day, but also help you be more calm, centred, and have a sense of satisfaction that you started the day on a high, positive note. By giving just 35 minutes each day to these practices, you will be able to be mentally more clear, stable, and have a deeper connection with yourself and the energies of the Universe that are all around you, waiting for you to tap into them.
If you start today, in about 30 days you will feel more focused, have better concentration, have a better emotional state, be less stressed, and above all, at peace with yourself.

Why has it become important today?

When we talk about spirituality, people immediately jump to things like utter devotion, hours of chanting, singing devotional songs, and what not! But they fail to realise that all these things are a small part of spirituality, not spirituality in itself. And being spiritual is much more than just this. With the growing amount of stress, tension, and competition in our world today, the importance of these little tricks that allow you to centre yourself and start your day with slow positivity rather than rushing madness has grown manifolds.

And so, these 35 minutes of doing things for yourself, instead of a boss or another person can really help in the long run.
