Diwali mantras

Diwali, the day when Lord Ram came back to his birthplace and kingdom, Ayodhya, has been celebrated for yugas by lighting up diyas, lights, and illuminating the neighbourhoods. Diwali is also the time when the energies all around are so positive, full of energy, and just delight people from the inside out. And it is also the time when spiritual energies are at an all-time high and so people engage in puja and worship more and more.
So, here we mention 6 mantras to chant this Diwali and the days following up to it, as they are believed to invite happiness and prosperity into the home.

OM

One of the easiest, but most powerful mantras to chant, no matter what occasion, day, or festival, is the chant of ‘OM’. The primordial sound of the universe, the vibration through which all of life came into being, OM is full of energy. Chanting OM regularly is believed to help align the inner energy and voices with the natural rhythms of the Universe, and makes us feel at ease in the body and mind. It is also said that chanting OM 108 times everyday, along with meditation, helps center your brain, make you feel at ease, and helps tune your body and mind to the ‘abundance’ mindset that lies inside you, waiting to be activated. It has the power to bring about a rush of positivity, calmness, and happiness into the home.

Ganesh mantra

Mantra - Vakratunda Mahakaya Suryakoti Samaprabha, Nirvighnam Kuru Me Deva, Sarva Karyeshu SarvadaA simple mantra with a simple meaning, this one means - O Lord Ganesha, the one with a curved trunk and a mighty body, as bright as a million suns, I pray to you to remove all obstacles from my path and grant me the blessing of success in whatever I do. During Diwali, Maa Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha are worshipped by people with deep devotion and respect. While Maa Lakshmi is the bestower of money, wealth, and abundance, Lord Ganesha is the one who removes obstacles and hurdles from his devotees' paths so that they can receive happiness and prosperity. It is said that chanting this mantra even 20 times everyday while meditating or during the morning puja can help people clear away negativity and attract good things.

Maa Lakshmi mantra

Mantra - Om Shree Mahalakshmyai Cha Vidmahe Vishnu Patnyai Cha Dheemahi Tanno Lakshmi PrachodayatOne of the easiest mantras for Goddess Lakshmi, the one who grants wealth and prosperity to her devotees is this one. By chanting this mantra with a pure, pious heart and utmost devotion to Maa Lakshmi, devotees can attract her blessings and positivity. And as it is believed that Maa Lakshmi visits her devotees' homes during Diwali, if people chant this mantra everyday wholeheartedly, it will surely impress her.

Lord Ganesha mantra

Another mantra of Lord Ganesha that is believed to help people gain happiness and prosperity is ‘Om Gan Ganpataye Namah’. It is a famous mantra that people usually chant when starting a new venture or before important events as it helps attract Lord Ganesha’s energy that in turn removes hurdles and obstacles from their way. It is believed that by chanting this mantra devotees can experience Lord Ganesha’s energy and wisdom, and they get the strength to overcome any obstacles that come their way. And chanting ‘Om Gan Ganpataye Namah’ in the days leading up to Diwali will help you get double the blessings of Maa Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha too.

‘Hreem Shreem’ Lakshmi mantra

Another powerful mantra dedicated to Maa Lakshmi is ‘Om Hreem Shreem Lakshmi Bhyo Namaha’. It simply means ‘I bow down to Maa Lakshmi, the one who is the embodiment of abundance and wealth’.
