Tips to make yourself productive

Life often becomes mundane, especially if your work runs on a routine. After a while, who doesn’t feel demotivated and less productive? We all have those Monday blues. To motivate yourself and become more productive at work, here are a few Feng Shui tips you ought to keep in mind.

2/7

Keep the colours in mind

Colours play a very important role in influencing not just your mood but the vibes too. If your office space is not comfortable and lively, you are bound to be less productive and sad. So change that, bring in some eye pleasing colour into your workspace - whether in the cubicle in the office or at home at your workstation. As per Feng Shui, try green for balance and good health, white for creative energy, yellow for good times and happiness. If distress is your issue then earthy tones would work wonders.

3/7

Plants galore

A little bit of plants here and there will bring in that freshness that you often need when work gets overwhelming. If you cannot sit and work in a space from where you can see nature outside, get a few succulents and place them on your desk. Buy 2-3, don’t create a jungle on your desk. Succulents would be the best because they need the least care and they are affordable.

4/7

Get rid of the clutter

According to Feng Shui and Vastu Shastra, clutter is never welcomed. It blocks good energy and invites only negativity. Plus you may also misplace your documents. Before ending the day, clean up after you. Arrange everything and keep all papers and books and pens in their place. This helps in the morning when you come with a fresh mind. You get clean physical space to start the day with.

5/7

Get a good chair

Get a chair which is comfortable for you to sit and work in. Your chair should have a high back to increase positive energy. Also, when selecting a chair, consider the colour too. What makes you feel good? Keep that in mind. Your chair should face airy space and somewhere bright. Never sit in front of the doorways because that is said to pull away the energy from your space.

6/7

Position of your desk

Your desk should face the entrance of the office because that, as per Feng Shui, puts you in a commanding position.

7/7

Decoration

Decorating your space as if it is your home is advisable because then it makes you more comfortable and keeps you happy by giving that homely feeling. Hang pictures of family and friends if you like that, put up nice paintings that you can connect with but they should be bright and happy. Inspirational quotes would also work positively. Your space should exude positivity and decrease your stress.
