"How Lord Hanuman became my personal career counsellor!"

The year was 1995, and let me tell you, job-hunting was turning into my full-time job. Mom kept giving me those questioning glances that said, "A job yet?" every single day. It was nerve-wracking, to say the least.
Now, my dad, an army officer, currently posted in Delhi but once stationed in Nainital, suggested a quick day-trip."Son, there's this magical Hanuman temple near Naini Lake," he often reminisced. "Every wish I made there, believe it or not, came true."
It was Saturday night. Feeling a glimmer of hope, we boarded a 10 pm train from Delhi. Arriving in Haldwani by 5 am, the refreshing mountain air felt like a wake-up slap. "New beginnings," I thought. A shared taxi whisked us to Nainital, where the crisp hill-station vibes welcomed us.
We did the touristy rounds, but the real destination was the Hanuman temple. Kneeling down, I muttered, "Lord Hanuman, let's make this job hunt a short story, not an epic saga." Hanumanjee's stone face seemed to break into a celestial smirk.
Post-prayers, we ate and it started raining. "Looks like even Hanumanjee's tearing up at my job prospects," I chuckled.
Evening set in, and we taxied back to Haldwani, then caught the night train home. We stumbled into our Delhi home by 4 am Monday. Sleep was my next agenda, only to be interrupted by the doorbell around 1 pm.
It was a courier, and tearing open the package, I found it—an offer letter from a finance firm where I'd recently been interviewed. "Hanumanjee, you're not just a god, you're a divine headhunter!" I exclaimed, looking heavenward with teary eyes.
And that's the story of how Hanumanjee turned into my heavenly HR rep while my dad chuckled, saying, "Told you the temple works wonders!"
Could life get any better? I think not!
