Betta fish

Also called the Siamese fighting fish, Bettas are famous for their long and flowy fins and tail, and striking colours-- all of which make them look elegant. Despite their dramatic appearance, they’re relatively easy to care for. However, male bettas can be territorial, so keep them alone or with peaceful tank mates.

Neon Tetra

Neon Tetras are small, vibrant, and peaceful grouping fish that are a perfect for beginners. Their striking blue and red stripes make them look stunning, effect when they swim in groups. These schooling fish thrive in groups of six or more and prefer soft, slightly acidic water between 22–26°C temperature. Since Neon tetras are peaceful, they can coexist with other small species in a community tank.

Known for their labyrinth organ, they can breathe air directly from the surface, allowing them to survive in low-oxygen environments too.

6/9

Pgymy Corydoras Catfish

Pgymy Corydoras Catfish, or “Cory Cats,” are small bottom-dwellers that keep the tank clean by eating leftover food. They’re gentle, peaceful, and prefer being in groups of three or more. Corydoras thrive in well-oxygenated water with a soft substrate to protect their whisker-like barbels. They’re great tank mates for most small fish and add variety to your aquarium. Feed them sinking pellets and occasional frozen treats. Corydoras are both functional and friendly — a must-have for any beginner tank.
