Relationship lessons you will learn only AFTER falling in love

Love versus reality

The genuine rush that you feel when you fall in love is simply irresistible. The cravings are overpowering and you turn blind to anything that stands against it. People in love ignore the realities of life and existence because everything around them turns rosy and beautiful. As the relationship grows and you become more comfortable with each other, reality slips in and then appear the things that you could not presume about. For most people, these new realities become a habit they want to stay with and for others, they become a learning lesson to move on in life. Here are a few lessons you will learn only after you have fallen truly, madly and deeply in love and are opening your eyes to new realities.
2/7

There is no such thing as a perfect partner

If you have a checklist for a perfect partner, keep that aside. No one is perfect, not even you. If you feel extremely happy and comfortable with a person, he or she might just be the right partner you are looking for. There are certain adjustments everyone makes and which is absolutely okay. You will have to design a perfect life around both of you rather than putting the pressure on your partner to become what you want him or her to be.
3/7

It is not a fairytale

No matter how legendary your love story may feel like, the reality is that life is not a fairytale. We all are human beings with our own unique nature and attitude towards life and nothing changes us overnight. There will be days when your partner will not surprise you with red roses or shower unnecessary compliments but that does not mean he or she doesn't love you anymore. Life will come to normal once you both become comfortable with each other and the intoxication of new love settles.
4/7

You can do nothing and still have a good time

While you love the never-ending conversations with your partner, there can be times when you both do not talk and still love the silence, the actuality of being together yet staying in your own spaces.
5/7

Annoying habits exist

While dating, people are mostly in their best behaviour. But the reality is different from what you experience then. Your partner will not always be dressed for the occasion or smell like a garden of roses every day, and you have to be prepared to face that reality. He or she could be a lazy person who likes to live in a messy room or has an extreme OCD that could be annoying at times too. Pricking nose, farting, scratching head or making weird sounds, annoying habits do exist.
6/7

Love requires effort

Just like your job, relationships require efforts too. If you think the moment when you both got swept off your feet naturally is an ever growing phenomenon, love might prove you wrong later in time. One has to make constant efforts to make it work and it all seems worth it in the end.
7/7

Morning breath is for real

Oh yes! After a passionate night which just felt so fantastic, that euphoria might vanish the moment you realise your partner has morning breath! When you watch this moment on screen, remember you are not there to smell the whiff of morning breath. Hence, stay close to reality.

Well, we just want to keep you covered!
