What can we learn from this movie?

The Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Pandey starrer “Gehraiyaan” is one movie that is heavy, relatable and addresses many emotional issues most of us go through in life. Looking at it, we bring to you a few relationship lessons that we can take home from the movie. Scroll down and let us know if you agree or not.

2/8

Don’t take your partner for granted

Yes we all want that person to be there in our lives who always has our back but if you start taking that person for granted, you will eventually lose their interest. It is human tendency to look for love, have someone cherish us. If that does not happen then you are giving them reasons to walk out on you.

3/8

Don’t skip on communication

To make any relationship last, communication is important. If you feel something and not say it, then what is the point? Never presume that the other realises what you are going through. Talk it out.

4/8

Take interest in your partner’s likes, dislikes, interests

No, you do not have to be the same as a person but it is important that you get involved with your partner in doing their kind of hobbies as well, if not everyday, sometimes. If you do not show interest, he or she is bound to look in the direction from where any sort of attention is coming. Even if he or she is bound to you in words and papers, you cannot make someone feel another way.

5/8

Innocence is sweet but it is important to be sharp

Before you read it wrong, we would like to highlight that indeed there is very little innocence left in the world so if you have it, do not shed it. But, you have to be a bit sharp in picking up the vibes around you. If you have a boyfriend pulling your leg, it is fine and you must have a sense of humor to take a bit of it, but it is important to pick up on the fact the joke is being made at your expense and how personal it is. There needs to be a line which must be drawn.

6/8

No relationship works on a straight line

There is no relationship which is perfect. Every relationship has its fair share of bumpy rides, emotional turmoil and complications. To think that why is it happening to you is wrong because everyone faces issues. It is all about how you plan on handling it.

7/8

Circumstances can change you

No matter how much you plan your steps ahead, circumstances can make you change your path. You react as per the situation, deal with the person according to what the scenario is, where you are emotionally. These things cannot be pre decided no matter how much you try.

8/8

It is not necessary that you and your partner will be on the same page

We all have our own way of thinking, our individual personalities so of course, even our emotional quotient will be separate as well. It is easier said than done but we must try not to expect our partner as well to be in sync with us and get out emotions at the same time. You both can be on different pages of life and it is absolutely normal.

This is not about relationships of 90% of Indians. They are normal people. Not the messed up people who are in this movie. This movie has been adapted from some C grade movie. Good we flopped it and our job was made easy by the useless movie. But trust us, even if the concept is good, we nation lovers will flop Padhukhan’s movie.
