Reasons why marriage is not passe yet

In the modern world where notions about singlehood and live-in relationships are being embraced but marriage is still an institution that holds solidity and favour of several communities. It is not only the foundation of our society but also represents the strong connection between individuals and families. Even though modernists consider marriage to be a frail concept, it’s absolutely not. Here are some reasons why marriage is still very much relevant in today’s world.

2/6

A sacred bond

Marriage is a sacred union between two people who promise to be together till their very last breath. With existing wedding rituals in place, marriage is considered to be very holy and a decision blessed by God. It also brings stature to the couple in society.

3/6

Trust and friendship

Friendship is the beginning of love for many and it holds a very strong connection in a marriage. Being able to freely connect with another person and trust them completely is not an easy task, but when you’re bonded to that person for life, it becomes inevitable.

4/6

Family unit

Marriages usually expand when children come into the picture. So, if you’re thinking of having children, it is definitely a good choice as it will expand your family into a strong unit in society. Whether you’re married or not, having a kid positions you in very high regard in society. And this also means that the couple is in for the long haul.

5/6

Security

When you’re married to someone, there’s a feeling of security you feel that can only be justified by the sacred bond. With marriage comes responsibilities like financial, home, life security that makes you feel whole. Your marriage registry form registers you as an official married person in the eyes of law.

6/6

Intimacy

When you’re bonded to someone in a relationship as strong as a marriage, intimacy comes in naturally. Maintaining a steamy intimate life doesn’t become difficult but all the easier because you are there for your spouse 24/7 and vice versa. The only thing matters are how much you both put in efforts to make it work.
