Mothers-in-law confess why they don't like their daughters-in-law

Here's why they hate their mother-in-law

We all know that the relationship between mothers and daughters-in-law can be very negative because of the power game in the house or on the sons and husbands. But, when we talk of reasons, very few women confess their true reason for being so hateful. So here are some confessions made by mothers-in-law, anonymously, that may reveal some truth!

She stole my son

My daughter-in-law and my son had a love marriage and ever since she came into this house, my son listens only to her. He used to dote on me and listen to everything I had to say and asked for, but now I am nowhere in the picture. They go out and that is understandable, they have their own life but… earlier he would take me out as my husband never did. Sometimes it is understood but how can he just forget about me? His wife never even asks me, she does not ask him to involve me either! She stole my son!

3/5

She is prettier than me

I could never say this out loud but here I can say that before my son got married, I was the center of attention. I was always the pretty bua, masi, daughter-in-law and even aunty in the neighbourhood. I was complemented a lot but now, ever since my son got married, people only talk about her beauty. I will not stoop to fair or dark because it is her features that are sharp and graceful but suddenly I have become irrelevant?

4/5

She doesn’t help in the house

My daughter-in-law does nothing in the house! She is working but after coming home she can in the least, help with dinner or in the morning make some tea, or in other chores but she does not even lift a finger. All she does is come back, sit on her laptop again, eat dinner which I make and spends time with my son. I am not her servant, but I think she believes I am! Why would I love such a daughter-in-law?

5/5

She doesn’t go to the mandir

We are a very religious family and my kitty friends call me often for kirtans in society. However, my daughter-in-law never accompanies me and never goes down to the temple herself. My kitty friends keep taunting me for having such a daughter-in-law. I am so ashamed of her! I have spoken to her that sometimes she should do things just to keep others’ respect intact, but she does not care! I have started despising her, so much so that I want her to leave!
