Let’s get to know the difference

Sex is a very intimate act between two people who share mutual attraction and infatuation. But as opposed to what people think about making love, it is quite different from having sex with someone. ‘Making love’ to someone has some emotional and mental connection to it, whereas having sex means engaging in a physical connection for pleasure or to satisfy sexual desires and needs. Let’s understand the difference between making love and having sex.

2/6

Conversations

When someone makes love to a person, they probably engage in an emotional conversation which induced feelings of love, intimacy and desires within them. It is initiated after a connection. While, sex can happen anytime, even without a conversation just out of a physical need.

3/6

Eye contact

People make intense eye contact with the one they are making love to. There are mixed feelings of love, care, affection etc. in their eyes. And it is truly a very heartwarming feeling. Sex doesn’t however include intense eye contact as such.

4/6

Approach

Those who make love to their partners have a gentle approach towards sex. They take it slow, gentle and delicately. While, sex usually has a rough approach to it, that usually partners love engaging in.

5/6

Touch

While making love, partners make sure to touch each other with a lot of care. Gentle kisses on the lips, cheeks, forehead, entwining fingers etc. are all small acts of making love that make it even more romantic. Sex is simply getting to the sexual intercourse act with some bits of foreplay.

6/6

Cuddles

People who make love to their partners expect them to stay after sex, to cuddle and go to sleep. Cuddling in bed, after sex can be really romantic and it also establishes an emotional connection. While those who only have sex are more likely to leave after doing it, rather than staying back for cuddles.
