How to end your unhealthy relationship

Are you happy with him or her? How many trials and errors have gone by yet nothing seems to stabilise? Is it turning ugly by the day? Get out of that unhealthy relationship and here are a few tips on how to.

2/6

Quit being in denial

Sometimes you get so used to the turmoils that you do not even recognise and are often in denial that your relationship has become super toxic. You do not want to lose the person because you are so used to him or her. However, for your own future mental peace and wellbeing, you need to stop and quit being in a bond which is always testing the waters

3/6

Look at the brighter side

Try to understand, write it down and realise the good that will come out if you break up. The friends you lost, the chance to meet more and new people, the freedom to breathe better… they shall all be back. The butterflies in your stomach are gone, you are unhappy so why torture yourself?

4/6

Your worth

Just for the sake of staying with someone is not fair to you nor your partner. If your relationship is not what you saw it as in the beginning then it is time to remind yourself that you deserve all the happiness in the world. Sometimes, it is not just good but rather necessary to be selfish.

5/6

Ask for advice

In case you think that there may be a better solution to dealing with this relationship then why not ask for advice from someone who knows you both and will not judge. Of course the advisor must be trustworthy. Reach out, you could also speak to a counsellor if no one comes to mind.

6/6

Be in a positive group

All that negativity in your head may have clouded your mind so why not surround yourself with the positive folks. Just the motivating vibes can often bring out solutions you never imagined. If you have decided to break up then the positive folks will help you feel better about yourself as well!
