Love in the most unexpected age

Whether it is Kabir Bedi, Sanjay Dutt, Neena Gupta, Milind Soman or Saif Ali Khan, all of them married in their late 40s or 50s and are living a happy and contented life. These celebrity weddings prove that love can happen late in life too and there should not be any race against time to get married. Contrary to the societal belief that one should get married before turning 30, these personalities found love in the most unexpected age and time of their lives. In fact, settling down with the love of your life late in life can be advantageous because there will no fake peer pressure you would need to live up to.
2/7

You will only marry for love

Once you are in your late 40s or 50s, marriage union will only happen because of extreme love for each other. While most of us marry in pressure or for financial stability, kids or freedom early in our lives, people who marry late, do not have to succumb under any such pressure. All they need is pure companionship risen out of love. And that is the true essence of marriage which is why mostly second marriages are more successful.
3/7

No insecurities

In young age, we all have insecurities related to our growth, freedom, partner and life and they convert into point of contentions at different stages in life, hampering the young married life. But as you age, these insecurities fade away. And once you enter in a relationship without any insecurities, it is way smoother.
4/7

No pressures in the relationship

Imagine a relationship that is free of social pressures of setting up a family or pressures from the partner for luxurious trips or celebrations. Will it not be a relationship free of all the pretensions? It will only be about pure togetherness and companionship.
5/7

You have enjoyed your singlehood completely

If you are planning to get married this late in life, it means you have already enjoyed being single to the most. All those adventurous moments do not matter anymore as you age and you tend to focus only on more important things in a partnership. The advantage is that you are not yearning anymore for night outs, parties, trips and so on.
6/7

Financial stability

A couple who gets married in their 20s or 30s is far more financially unstable than the one who gets married in their 50s. By this time, you are financially stable and own most of the luxuries in your life. Marriage at this point would mean you are no more insecure in taking up the responsibility of a partner.
7/7

Between the sheets

If reports are to be believed, up to 91 percent of men and 86 percent of women who are in their 50s are sexually active. And up to 80 percent of you say these intimate encounters are good, both emotionally and physically. After all, what you seek in this age more includes emotional stability and a more compassionate intimate relationship.
