Date night ideas to plan at home

Relationships thrive when the partners spend quality time with each other. Sadly, our busy lifestyle leaves us with little or no time for our loved ones as other necessities of life get in the way of our relationships. Also, let's not forget how most working couples spend a major partof the day in the office and by the time they reach home they get so tired that going out for dates seems like a chore. Under such circumstances, planning a date night at home can help them rekindle the lost romance without taking the trouble of planning an elaborate date elsewhere. Moreover, staying in will make you enjoy your date more as it's the company that matters than the place, right? Here's a list of date night ideas you can plan at home without burning a hole in your pocket.

2/6

Spa night

This is a perfect idea to pamper each other and use the night to get physically close. Plan a spa night at your own house which will give you a sensuous and relaxed experience. You can make your own masks and scrubs but if you are hard-pressed for time, you can get them from a store. Slow music, massages and lots of cuddles will leave you happy and refreshed.

3/6

Snuggling and watching your favourite web series/movies

The Italians are the masters of enjoying the sweetness of doing nothing. In fact, there is an old Italian saying 'dolce far niente', which means 'sweet doing nothing, sweet idleness' or 'the sweetness of doing nothing'. You can combine this idea and take it to another level by just lazying around with your partner and watching your favourite movie or web series. Another fun way of doing this can be watching a movie with sensuous scenes and then enacting those scenes with your partner after the movie is over.

4/6

Cook a meal together

Another thing that can work like magic during date nights at home is donning the chef's hat and cooking a meal together. George Bernard Shaw had once said, "There is no love sincerer than the love of food." And cooking a dish together that both loves can help the partners come closer. Choose a simple recipe that will not require a lot of time and is everyone’s comfort food. The food will taste ten times better, we can promise you that.

5/6

Relive some past moments

You will definitely relish planning date nights that are filled with nostalgia. This will bring you closer and as dive into the memories. It can be as simple as a glass of wine and your photo albums or snuggle together while you watch some of your old videos. You can just talk about your feelings while reminiscing your past moments.

6/6

Plan a night of 'truth or dare'

According to experts, communication is the key to successful relationships. Indoor date nights can be a great opportunity to play the game of 'truth or dare' and ask your partner certain questions you had been planning to ask for a long time. Playing such games can also help people to know each other better but don't forget to keep it light and romantic.
