Reasons why some people share too many details of their lives.

Talking about our personal lives and that too very easily is not considered a good thing. But for some people, it is their way of keeping it real and honest, However, there are different reasons why people overshare. Here are 5 possible reasons why they may be spilling all kinds of beans.

2/6

Some people are good at making you talk

There are some people who have this gift of making other people feel at ease. They make you so comfortable, envelop you with so much of a false sense of intimacy that you tend to spill out your secrets thinking they won't tell anyone.

3/6

They find solace in a stranger

Sometimes you are so full to the brim that when you see a stranger who is posing to be a good listener, you spill it all out. You tend to believe that he/she won’t tell anyone as they have no connection with the people concerned in your issues. It becomes a therapy for some people.

4/6

To escalate their relationship

There are some people out there who tend to fastrack their relationship by sharing nuances of their personal lives way too soon. However, it is subjective whether they have tested the water’s worth or not.

5/6

When they do not know how to build boundaries

Building a boundary is an art not all can master and oversharers are the worst ones. Some people just don’t know how to build personal boundaries or professional boundaries and they can talk about anything under the sun. They reveal their financial issues, their assets, their relationship issues and even sexual relationship issues. Such people generally lack close relationships and they do not have close confidants. This is when they say it all.

6/6

To make the other feel comfortable

Some people share to make the other comfortable enough to share. They reveal personal facts to get the other into confidence. To make the other talk, they talk. This happens when the other is a caring listener. However, the facts could be false, so be careful of crooked people.
