Some honest confessions on why they quit

With the onset of the Snail Girl Era trend and people quitting toxic jobs, there is a surge in the number of resignations industries are seeing due to unfair pressure. Here are some very honest confessions of people who resigned from their workplace due to unfair pressure.

2/5

“My manager had no understanding of work-life balance”

I couldn't take it anymore. The pressure at my workplace had become unbearable. It wasn't that I couldn't handle the workload; it was the relentless expectation to work long hours, weekends, and even holidays. My manager seemed to have no understanding of work-life balance. I'd sacrificed so much for the job, but it was never enough. I finally decided to resign. It was a difficult decision, but my health and well-being had to come first. The unfair pressure had taken a toll on me, and I knew I needed a fresh start where my efforts and dedication would be appreciated, not exploited.

3/5

“Unrealistic targets”

The constant pressure to meet unrealistic targets was driving me to the brink. My boss kept piling on more and more work, and there was no recognition for the effort I put in. I even started losing sleep and feeling anxious all the time. I realized my mental and physical health were deteriorating. So, I took a step back and evaluated what was truly important. It became evident that my job wasn't worth sacrificing my well-being. I decided to resign, and it was the best decision I ever made. Now, I'm in a workplace where my contributions are valued, and I have the time and space to prioritize my health.

4/5

“Being a woman, I had to prove myself twice as much”

Being the only woman on my team, I often felt like I had to prove myself twice as much. The pressure to excel was immense, and my male colleagues didn't seem to face the same expectations. My boss would frequently criticize my work, even when it was on par with or better than my colleagues'. I realized that I was being treated unfairly. It was demoralizing, and I couldn't continue in such a toxic environment. I resigned to find a workplace that would appreciate me for my skills and not my gender. It was a difficult decision, but I knew it was the only way to regain my self-esteem and professional dignity.

5/5

“I couldn't bear the guilt of misleading customers”

I used to love my job, but things took a dark turn when the company started implementing aggressive sales targets. We were pushed to sell, no matter what it took. The pressure was overwhelming, and it seemed like ethics and integrity had been thrown out the window. I couldn't bear the guilt of misleading customers and the anxiety of constant scrutiny from management. My mental health was deteriorating rapidly. I decided to resign, even though I didn't have another job lined up. It was a risk, but I couldn't continue compromising my principles. Eventually, I found a workplace where honesty and ethics were valued, and I felt a tremendous sense of relief and renewal.
