Best marriage advice given by divorced men

Follow these pieces of advice

To make a marriage work, all couples have to work on it. It is never all hunky dory because a marriage involves many compromises, a lot of understanding and communication, and a lot of passion and love. Here are 5 pieces of amazing advice given by divorced men that will definitely come in handy for you to save and make your marriage last.

2/6

Never stop wooing her

Woo her, court her, do not take her for granted! She chose to be with you, and you promised to make her happy and own her heart, protect it. Never get lazy and keep taking her out on dates, court her, surprise her, and pamper her. Don’t lose her because you were lazy.

3/6

Don’t try to change her or fix her

Many have this habit of changing their spouse after marriage, which is the biggest mistake you are making. If she changes, you will not love her because she is not the woman you fell for in the first place. If you are trying to change her, you must remember that she may soon realise that and frustrate her.

4/6

Take accountability for your own emotions

It is not your wife’s job to make you happy and be that monkey that claps when you ask her to. Your happiness is in your own hands, under your control. Find your own happiness.

5/6

Allow her to just be

When she is sad or upset, it is not your job to fix her, Just hold her and say that all will be okay. Just be there to hear her out to just be around her. Be the pillar and not an advisor. Sometimes it is okay just to listen, you do not always agree to respond and make things worse. Also, do not run away when she is upset… Some men are bad at handling emotions. If you are one of them, the least you can do is be around, get her tea or coffee or whatever she likes. The thought is what counts.

6/6

Don’t worry about money

We are not saying that you overspend, have no savings, and are in debt! Most divorced men would tell you that money is important but being frugal and cheap with your wife will never be accepted or admired. It will instead create a bigger distance between you two. Have the savings, never touch that but save where it needs to be saved and spend where it should be spent.
