7 habits for a stronger relationship— Shared by Gauranga Das

Want a deep, unbreakable bond?

While most people want to be in happy relationships, not many are lucky in love. Many are struggling in their relationships and are trying hard to make it work. However, "Love isn’t just found. It’s built— with small actions, honest words, and quiet consistency," says spiritual leader Gauranga Das. In a recent video posted on social media, Gauranga Das shared seven habits that can help one have a strong relationship and a happier life. "These 7 habits aren’t grand gestures, but they’re the real glue. For anyone tired of surface-level love, here’s your roadmap to something deeper. The kind that doesn’t just last—it grows," he wrote in the post. So, read on to know the seven things one should do if they want a strong relationship, as shared by Gauranga Das:

2/8

"Apologise without defending"

"It's not about who's right; it's about valuing the bond more than the ego," says Gauranga Das in a video and rightly so. When you love and appreciate a person in your life, you would go the extra mile for them just to keep them happy-- even if it means apologising first for the sake of your bond.

3/8

"Make time, not excuses"

"Make time, not excuses for your partner because effort is the loudest form of love," he further shared. In the fast-paced world that we live in, it is easy to get busy and not make time for your loved ones. But one always takes time out for things and people who truly matter. Remember, love is a universal language, and genuine love and care can be felt in the heart, no matter what.

4/8

"Listen more than you speak"

"Really listen to them, rather than offering solutions all the time," says Gauranga Das. More often, people simply want someone to listen to them when they are venting. They don't want solutions to their issues, but someone to listen to their feelings and empathise with them. So, simply show that you love and care for them by being there for them.

5/8

"Create traditions"

"It could be something as simple as weekend short trips, morning breakfast together, or an annual trip together," explains Gauranga Das. These simple traditions help people bond, and feel loved and valued.

6/8

"Take an interest in their life"

"Ask them about office gossip, their best friends, and their parents. This will make them feel seen (and heard)," he says and rightly so. Remember, talking and sharing one's concerns and life helps people bond. This way, you can also help find solutions to their life problems, if any.

7/8

"Check in without a reason"

"Don't wait for something to go wrong to ask "How are you really doing?"," he says. Check in with your loved ones often-- this will make them feel loved and taken care of. This also helps people bond and nurture their relationship over a period of time.

8/8

"Speak their love language"

"Whether it is words, quality time, acts of service, or gifts-- love them the way they feel loved," says Gauranga Das. Speaking your partner’s love language means understanding how they feel most valued—whether through words of affirmation, quality time, acts of service, gifts, or physical touch—and expressing love in that specific way. When you align your actions with their emotional needs, it deepens intimacy and reduces misunderstandings. For example, saying “I love you” may not mean as much to someone whose love language is quality time. Instead, spending undistracted time together will make them feel truly loved and emotionally connected.
