Here's what you have to do

No one should have a disrespectful partner and nobody has the right to be so. If your wife or husband is acting like that especially in front of family and friends then here are 5 things you ought to do.

2/6

Do not believe what he/she says

It takes time to grow a thick skin and not let someone’s words sink in, but it is important. If he or she is making you feel stupid or worthless by screaming at you or misbehaving with you in front of your family, do not believe even a word. No one is perfect! Simple!

3/6

Talking to a friend

He or she makes you feel bad about yourself, and your confidence level goes down. For a boost have that friend who makes you realize that it is not true and you are very much an asset!

4/6

Give a benefit of doubt

Some men or women do not even realise that they are being disrespectful and at times they do not even mean to do so. So do give the person that benefit of doubt. Unless, it has become a regular practice and you have had that conversation before yet it is being repeated.

5/6

You have to remind her/him

Do express your disappointment in them and say that you are not okay with them speaking to you in that manner and that you expect from them. When you correct him or her, some people retain the episode and do not repeat it.

6/6

Ask someone else to butt in

If you have tried everything yet it repeats, speak to someone who can talk some sense into him or her. Sometimes we do not listen to the person we talk to everyday but do java that family member or friend whose words are like gold as they have known you for a longer time.
