Marriage is tied by a very delicate thread that can break anytime when dishonesty, misunderstandings and deep marital issues enter the chat. Sometimes, a marriage is also threatened by a third party and in the case of most Indian marriages, the housemaids are the source of all evil who quite slyly and cunningly ruin a marriage. Surprised to know that maids can actually do this? Yes, they can! And to support this, we bring to you 3 men who anonymously share their confessions about how their marriage was ruined by their maid.

Our maid is too inquisitive

“All our maid does is ask questions about what is going on in our life. While washing the dishes or sweeping the floor, she will ask ,y wife several questions very casually about what she has been doing or thinking lately. I do agree that my wife also talks to her sometimes, but the maid has made it an everyday thing to ask about what has happened today. The worst part is, she does it behind my back!”

3/4

Our maid backs my wife during fights

“Our maid is very intrusive in our daily fights. When my wife and I fight with each other, the maid pipes in and backs up my wife during fights! She takes her side and even says, ‘aap sahi bol rahe ho didi (what you are saying is right, didi)’ My wife then feels she is even more right and continues to blame me for all the mistakes in our marriage.”

4/4

Our maid talks about our married life to others

“My wife and I have reached the end of the rope when it comes to our maid. She is such a talkative person who goes on gossiping about our marriage life to others—to be more specific, to the entire neighbourhood! She even comes and talks about other couples’ fights. She loves gossiping about the issues. It is really frustrating because I don’t want everything about my marriage to be out there!”
