After industrialist Sunjay Kapur's untimely death in June 2025, a major family feud erupted over his estimated INR 30,000-crore estate. The feud involves his widow Priya Sachdev Kapur, his mother Rani Kapur, and his children-Samaira & Kiaan- with ex-wife Karisma Kapoor, an it is about his will that largely favours Priya while excluding others. This has led to major court battles over alleged will forgery and control of Sona Comstar; Sunjay's family has also alleged that "conspiracy" in his death. The dispute has intensified so much that Priya ha also filed a criminal defamation suit against her sister-in-law (i.e. Sunjay's sister) Mandhira Kapur, as per reports.
