Look out for these common signs of stress

Stress and anxiety not only bother the grown-ups as kids are equally prone to it.

Children may feel stressed due to positive changes like trying out some new activity or negative changes like illness or loss of a family member. A small amount of stress is good for health, but in excess, it may have a deep impact on your little one's behaviour and health. Signs of stress in kids are different from that of adults, so you need to be more careful to identify them. Here are some common signs of stress in kids.

2/6

Nightmares

Stress and anxiety are common triggers of nightmares. If your child is worried about some work given at school or is having trouble at home they may often have nightmares. Some people even have a bad dream before an important event or their examination. In the case of frequent nightmares, try to understand what your kid is going through and assure them that you understand their feelings.

3/6

Eating disorder

Restlessness and stress can also trigger an eating disorder in children. You may notice a sudden change in appetite or eating habits. They may either eat less or more, both can be due to stress. If you notice any such change talk to them and get to the bottom of the issue. This is the only way to help your child.

4/6

Aggression

When we are stressed, we often have an outburst and the same happens with kids. They find the situation overwhelming and hard to deal with, as a result they become more aggressive. They may start avoiding any conversation or might start screaming. All these are signs of stress and anxiety, which needs to be dealt with correctly and on time. If you find it difficult to handle the situation, consult an expert.

5/6

Lack of focus

Having difficulty in completing the schoolwork or not taking interest in extracurricular activities can also be a sign of stress in kids. The pressure to perform better in academic or school sports events can decrease their concentration level. If you see any sign, talk to your kid and try to help them prioritise their activities.

6/6

Bedwetting

When feeling stressed out or insecure, kids might miss out on toileting cues. This is more common in small kids. Do not get angry when this happens, rather try to understand the reason behind it. Apart from stress, other medical conditions can also lead to bedwetting. It is better to consult your doctor to rule out any possibility of an underlying medical condition.

SEND THIS TO THE BOARDS OF EDUCATION which cause Stress to poor children in the first place. they Harass poor children putting pressure on them to give exams at times like THIS.. TELL THEM. STOP THE SOURCE OF THE PRESSURE FIRST.
