Meet the new Shark, Srikanth Bolla

Srikanth Bolla, a visually impaired entrepreneur who founded Bollant Industries, is the new Shark on Shark Tank India.
Srikanth announced the same through his social media account. "To survive a pool of sharks, you need to become one yourself. So yes, I got an opportunity to become a shark on Shark Tank India. Being on the set made me realize that dreams aren’t just for thinkers— they’re for the doers! It was a blast meeting all these accomplished entrepreneurs in the panel and the pitches made were very inspiring — smelled innovation in the air!," he posted on Instagram thanking the Sharks and the show.

Life lessons to borrow from Srikanth

Srikanth Bolla is a living example of how perseverance can break all barriers. From being denied an education due to his disability to leading a multi-crore business, his journey is inspiring for kids and adults alike. Here are five invaluable life lessons from Srikanth Bolla that every child must follow to achieve success, no matter what challenges come their way.

3/7

Never let limitations define you

One of the biggest lessons from Srikanth Bolla’s life is that limitations exist only in the mind. Born visually impaired, he faced rejection from schools and society. However, he did not let his disability define his potential. Every child has unique abilities and strengths. Instead of focusing on what you lack, concentrate on what you can do. Challenges should be seen as stepping stones to success rather than obstacles. Just as Srikanth did not let his blindness stop him from achieving his dreams, children should not let failures or difficulties discourage them.

4/7

Education and hardwork are the keys to success

Education opens doors to endless opportunities. No matter what obstacles stand in your way, knowledge and learning can help you overcome them. Never stop being curious and always strive to learn new things. Srikanth faced immense resistance when he wanted to study science in high school. Despite securing excellent grades, he was denied admission because of his disability. However, he fought for his rights and later went on to become the first international blind student at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

5/7

Never give up

Success is not achieved overnight. Hard work, patience, and persistence are essential to reaching any goal. The road may be difficult, but every effort you put in will bring you one step closer to your dreams. Srikanth’s journey was not easy. He had to fight against societal biases and prove himself at every stage. He worked tirelessly to build his business and establish Bollant Industries, which provides employment to differently-abled individuals.

6/7

Trust yourself; nobody can trust you, the way you can trust yourself

Believing in yourself is crucial to achieving success. There will always be people who doubt your abilities, but what truly matters is your own confidence. Trust your potential and keep working towards your goals. When Srikanth wanted to pursue science, many people discouraged him, saying a blind person could not study science. But he believed in himself and proved them wrong. His unwavering self-confidence helped him achieve remarkable success.

7/7

Be kind and help others

Srikanth didn’t just stop at achieving personal success. He established Bollant Industries to provide employment to differently-abled people. He believes that success is meaningful when it helps others grow too. Success is not just about personal achievements; it’s also about giving back to society. Always be kind, help others whenever you can, and use your abilities to make the world a better place.
Srikanth Bolla’s life teaches us that nothing is impossible if you have determination, self-belief, and the courage to fight against the odds.
