Due to the increasing temperature in India during the summer, people think that the season is not conducive to gardening. However, summers are the most appropriate time to cultivate different types of vegetables in pots at home. This option suits people who do not have much space in their gardens. There are various vegetables that can be cultivated during the summer season. In particular, you can grow these vegetables in pots in a balcony or terrace. Hence, here are five Indian summer vegetables which are very convenient to grow in pots at home.

Tomatoes to be cooked in everyday dishes

One of the most common vegetables grown by Indians is the tomato. This plant is ideal to grow during summer because they thrive when the temperature is high. They can be planted in pots ranging from medium to large sizes, depending on your convenience. The only requirements needed are sunlight, proper watering, and some support when growing.

Ladyfinger (okra) is easy to maintain

Another vegetable that can be grown successfully by any beginner is ladyfinger. These plants grow fast during summer and are also not difficult to maintain. Lady fingers can be planted in large deep pots, provided they receive plenty of sunlight throughout the day. Water them regularly and give them fertilizer once in a while.
