Things you should never lend ANYONE!

While 'sharing is caring' is a nice concept, it needs to be implemented in the right places. This is because sharing certain things can lead to serious health issues for you. Here is a list of things you should prefer keeping just to yourself:

2/9

Slippers

SLIPPERS: Slippers are a basic courtesy to offer to your guests. Obviously, when someone has travelled a distance to meet you, the last thing you expect them to carry is bathroom slippers. However, slippers are the breeding ground for fungus. Therefore, it is better to give your guests a new pair or a pair that you don’t use.

3/9

Lip gloss or lipstick

LIPSTICK OR LIP GLOSS: Yes, women are very used to sharing lipsticks and lip glosses with their girlfriends. This is extremely dangerous as your friend maybe carrying herpes, which you might get through the lipstick you’ve lent.

4/9

Cosmetics

COSMETICS: Other cosmetics like eyeshadows, kajals, face powders should be avoided at any cost. If you are going to a salon to get ready for a party, ensure that they maintain proper hygiene for their products. You do not know what bacteria another person’s skin may give you.

5/9

Towels

TOWELS: Skin infections are most commonly spread through the use of someone else’s towels. Avoid using them at swimming clubs or other sports clubs to stay away from getting other people’s bacteria or fungus. This is because the sweat of a person is a breeding ground for germs.

6/9

Hair accessories

HAIR ACCESSORIES: Lice and dandruff can be transmitted using someone else’s accessories. Using hair bands, clips or even brushes can transfer lice and dandruff to your hair.

7/9

Headphones

HEADPHONES: While at work, we often tend to take our colleague’s earphones. This is bad for us because a certain kind of bacteria breeds in our earwax. If we use someone else’s earphones, we are exposing ourselves to an ear infection.

8/9

Deodorants and roll-ons

DEODORANTS AND ROLL-ONS: Deodorant and roll-on surfaces may contain bacteria when it comes in contact with your skin. Lending it to someone can result in transmission of this bacteria.

9/9

Skincare

SKINCARE: Skincare accessories like sponges, brushes, massage rollers gather tiny bits of bacteria from our dead skin cells which come off. If we share these with someone else, your skin can get affected. If the person has acne or if you have an acne-prone skin, you may get that bacteria as well.
