1/9

When in doubt, depend on lube

Healthy and happy sexual life is a key determinant. There is no such thing as good, bad or too much sex but you can always work upon improving your performance inside the bedroom.

2/9

Whipped cream

This heavy duty food item has been used to indulge in your fantasies and add a little excitement in the bedroom. However, items like whipped cream, which contain a lot of sugar in them can disturb the vagina’s natural pH levels, ultimately leading to infections. This also means you stay off any kind of syrup or sweet sauce as well.

3/9

Lotion

Lotions and creams are thought of as an ideal lube alternative but you should be very, very careful before trying this out. All daily use lotions contain strong essence and perfumes, which are not suited for sensitive skin around your private parts. They may also contain parabens, which can cause hormonal imbalance.

4/9

Olive oil

Keep the bottle of olive oil where it actually belongs and do not drag it to the bedroom. Olive oil is good for adding a little glow to the skin but do remember that oil contains heavy lubricants which can break down the latex in the condom.

5/9

Petroleum jelly

Petroleum jelly is thought of as an all-purpose thing but when you use on your private parts as a lube, it creates a trap for bacteria and other germs to stay in and makes it difficult to wash off.

6/9

Baby oil

Baby oil, as compared to other oils is light and lubricating but it is not a good choice again. If you use baby oil, you are at the risk of developing possible yeast infection in your vagina.

7/9

Butter

Butter is not a healthy choice to be used in the bedroom! Remember that it contains proteins and concentrate of animal fat which is not to safe to be used on our skin. So, that is not a viable option.

8/9

Liquid soap

Any kind of liquid soap, washes, sanitiser or douche is considered lubricating and often used to clean down there but we suggest you never use this on your private parts. Using such douching products disturb the body's pH levels and harm your skin, which is not something you want happening.

9/9

Cooling lubricants

Tingling or cooling lubricants are advocated to add a little excitement and sensation during your sexual experience but most times, they contain menthol or spice which are extremely bad for sensitive skin and can cause a reaction.
