Apart from this, it also depends on several factors like your sex, diet and metabolism. You cannot compare your progress with your friend. Here in this article, we tell you the average time a person takes to get a sculpted body and the factors that influence it.

2/4

The right exercise

While cardio is crucial for calorie burning and weight loss, strength training is necessary for toning your lose muscles. However, the best way to build muscles is to include both cardio and strength training exercise in your routine. Remember, consistency in your workout is necessary to see the results after a considerable time. Some of the important exercises that you should include in your routine are pushups, squats, lunges, resistance band movements and workouts with stationary weight machines.

3/4

How much time does it take

You need to work hard to build muscles, but that does not mean you spend your entire day in the gym. Performing weight training exercise for 20 to 30 minutes, twice to thrice in a week is enough to see results. You have to target a specific muscle group on a particular day. You cannot work on the entire body together. Try to correct your form and increase your repetitions with time.

Depending on the intensity and the consistency of your workout, it will take 4 to 8 weeks for your muscles to get toned.

4/4

Factors responsible for muscle growth

Men will see quicker muscle growth as compared to women because they have high levels of testosterone and growth hormone. Moreover, if a person performs more exercises then the person will see results at a faster rate. Age is another factor responsible for muscle growth. People in their 40s will take more time as compared to people in their 30s due to difference in their metabolism.
