They are very easy!

Working 8-9 hours on a laptop is not only stressful for your body and eyes, but also tough for your wrists. Holding the mouse and typing on the keyboard can cause numbness and tingling sensation in your hands and wrist, which in medical terms is known as carpal tunnel syndrome. As we exercise to keep our body healthy and fit, in the same way, it is important to do some stretching exercises every day to relax your wrist muscles and ease the pressure. Here are some common wrist movements and exercises that you should perform daily.

Wrist stretch

How to do it:

Extend your arm in front of you with your palm facing outward and fingers pointing towards the floor. Now use your other hand to gently pull the palm towards your body. Hold this position for 20-30 seconds and repeat the same with the other hand.

Make a fist and stop sign

How to do it:

Make a firm fist with your thumb across your fingers. Now hold this position for 4-5 seconds and then open your hand and stretch your fingers. Again close the fist and repeat the movement. You can increase the intensity later on. This exercise will help to strengthen the muscles of your fingers and give relief from pain.

Tennis ball squeeze

How to do it:

To do this exercise you just need a tennis ball. Take the ball in one of your hands and squeeze it firmly for 10-20 seconds. Repeat the same with the other hand. This is a simple exercise that you can do anywhere and at any time. It is also believed that doing this exercise helps to reduce stress.

Wrist roll

How to do it:

Bring all your fingers together to make a firm fist. Now stretch your hand in front of you and roll your wrist in a circular motion, first clockwise then anti-clockwise. Repeat the same with the other hand.
