Mustard seeds are safe for consumption if you take them within a limited quantity. Excess intake of mustard in any form can lead to diarrhoea and stomach pain. Those diagnosed with diabetes or are due for surgery must take mustard seeds in limited quantities. Even pregnant and breastfeeding women should be careful.
