Shilpa special detox tea is a must-have!

The actress recently shared a sneak peek into her daily schedule and revealed what she eats in a day. While it comes as no surprise that Shilpa loves eating everything desi and healthy, what took us by surprise is a special drink that she regularly has as part of her daily meals.

Sharing a photo, Shilpa revealed that she has a unique CCF tea at exactly 2 p.m. every day and one after dinner. As fancy as it sounds, how about we tell you, it is one of the easiest and detoxing teas you can make at home!

4/11

What is CCF tea?

CCF tea is nothing but a healthy drink made out cumin, coriander and fennel seeds. Yes, the three ingredients you will very easily find in your pantry can also help you detox and stay fit like the mother of two!

While aromatic spices like cumin coriander and fennel are usually added to dishes to improve the taste, they have potent benefits for the body, especially during the summer season. If you have been struggling to take care of your eating habits during the quarantine, sipping on this tea can benefit you immensely. It's great for your digestive system, eliminates waste and regulates essential body functioning.

Try this Ayurvedic tea!

This unique tea blend has backing in Ayurveda too. Hailed as a 'miracle tea', CCF tea is helpful in absorbing nutrients, stimulating agni (digestive fire), dealing with chronic problems of indigestion, flatulence and also soothing any inflamed membranes in and around the stomach walls.

6/11

Magic of cumin seeds

The benefits of the drink come solely from the three magic ingredients in it. One primary ingredient, the humble jeera (cumin), has been used for centuries to balance out digestive issues.

7/11

Benefits of corainder and cumin seeds

Cumin bodes well with the medicinal properties of coriander to decrease the heat in the body. It has also been referred to as a soothing spice to relax bouts of anxiety. The medicinal properties of the spice have also been associated with reducing muscle cramps and improving blood circulation.

Fennel seeds

Fennel, again, is a therapeutic traditionally used herb. It is often referred to as the magic remedy to deal with any bloating issue. In fact, a lot of lactating mothers also drink fennel tea to boost their milk supply and some researchers say that this unique spicy tea can be helpful for young mothers as well.

9/11

This tea can help you lose weight too!

One of the prime benefits of this tea is that it keeps your digestion in check. When digestive ailments are taken care of, fat and other toxins are also eliminated and the problem of weight gain can be taken care of, as long as you include some form of exercise as well. It speeds up metabolism, and ultimately, fat burning in the body.

10/11

All you need are these three ingredients

This simple herbal remedy is a three-ingredient tea which can be made very easily. Granted that it may taste a little different for those used to the taste of regular tea, the benefits of this outrank the taste.

What do you need:

1/2 tablespoon fennel seeds

1/2 tablespoon coriander seeds

1/2 tablespoon cumin seeds, or lesser (depending on your tastebuds)

1.5 cup of water.

11/11

How to make this tea

Take some water in a pan and bring it to a boil. Once bubbles start to rise, go on and add the dried whole spices into the pan. You can also grind the spices separately and add it to the water. Else, let the concoction simmer well and once it does, cool it off.

Strain it well so as to ensure that the spices blend infuses well in the drink. Your drink is ready. You may add a bit of honey (optional) if you want the sweetness. Cinnamon and ginger powder can be added as well.

You can also make this drink in a bigger batch, store and refrigerate it as well. A cooler version of the drink can be a healthy refreshing drink for the summer season!
