Pay attention!

Staying healthy and in shape is everyone's topmost priority. We can deal with all the challenges thrown our way and achieve everything we want, provided we are in the pink of our health.

When we talk about health, we cannot miss the fad diet trends that come in the limelight from time to time. Just google the word diet and you will come across plenty of healthy trends, making tall claims about the results that are ever barely seen. Many people fall victim to these claims and are left disappointed in the end. To save you from this, here we have listed 5 diet trends that you must avoid for your good.

2/6

Juice cleansing

Juice cleanser might seem like a perfect way to remove toxins from the body and restore vitamins, however, it doesn't really work that way. While following this health trend, you could be starving your body of essential fibre required to keep you full for longer hours and useful to promote easy bowel movement. You do not have to go on any cleansing diet to detoxify, your liver and kidneys do that for you daily.

3/6

Bulletproof coffee

This beverage first became popular among the mountaineers, who learned that adding a considerable amount of fat can help them sustain their energy for a longer time. This later garnered popularity among weight watchers, who started adding butter, ghee, or coconut oil to their morning coffee and replacing it with their normal breakfast. The problem with bullet coffee is that it is devoid of fiber, protein and other essential nutrients, required for living a healthy life. Moreover, taking an excessive amount of saturated fat can be harmful to people suffering from heart issues.

4/6

Gluten-free diet

A gluten-free diet is quite overrated and is only good for people suffering from gluten intolerance. For the rest, it is really not that beneficial. Cutting down gluten from your diet can lead to digestive complaints and inflammatory conditions. Moreover, it can lead to deficiencies of several nutrients in the body. Most packaged products, which is labelled as gluten-free is not that good for your health. So, always read the label before buying any product.

5/6

Activated charcoal products

In the past few years, we saw a surge in activated charcoal products in the market. You will find the aisle of the supermarket filled with products made from activated charcoal but have you ever wondered how safe and effective they are? Experts suggest that the products made of activated charcoal contain substances can interfere with the absorption of vitamins and minerals in the body. Moreover, they can even interfere with your medications.

6/6

Sports drink

If you think that sports drinks are healthy, then you cannot be more wrong. The colourful drinks are loaded with sugar and by sipping on it, you are sabotaging your weight loss goal. Plain water is best for energising between your workout session. Sports drinks indeed contain electrolytes that compensate for the loss of potassium and sodium during the workout session in the form of sweat, but unless you are excessively drained out, avoid sports drink.

Gluten is not an essential protein for humans. Gluten is present in wheat, barley and rye. Never accept a blind-article or blog from non-scientific entity. Please don't create confusion for gullible aam admi.
