How to make Tamarind and Jeera Lollipop

Ingredients required: 1 tsp cumin, mountain salt to taste, white salt, 2 tbsp tamarind pulp, 1 green chilli
Method: Crush cumin, salt, white salt, tamarind pulp and green chilli. Mix them well and then shape the mixture into small balls and place toothpicks in the centre and your Tamarind and Jeera Lollipop are ready. Enjoy!

Benefits of Tamarind

A published study on PMC highlights tamarind’s effects in reducing oxidative stress, enhancing antioxidant enzyme activity, improving lipid and carbohydrate profiles, and modulating gene and protein expression related to cholesterol metabolism and immune responses. The leaves of tamarind plant are also used as part of the daily diet in several countries where they are readily consumed in fresh form and especially during drought season.
