Malai is often used for adding a creamy twist to curries or to make the tea more rich or even to make homemade ghee. But have you ever tried making delicious delicacies with leftover malai? Well, we have some easy and delicious ideas to use and prepare some simple recipes in under 10 minutes by using leftover malai. Just note down and whip up some fun in your kitchen.

​Creamy Dry Fruit Bar


To make this delicious sweet, take a pan and melt, white chocolate bar- 200 grams using double boiling. To this melted chocolate, add 1 cup thick leftover malai, 1 handful of mixed berries and sugar as per taste. Make this mix and put a parchment paper, pour this blend over it and garnish with roasted nuts. Refrigerate and enjoy anytime.

​Malai Ladoo


Craving for a sweet treat, but want to prepare something quick and tasty? Then we have this simple yet delicious Malai Ladoo recipe, which can be made in just a few minutes. To make this creamy ladoo, just take a pan and add 1 tablespoon of ghee and add 1 ½ cups of grated coconut, cook till it turns brownish in colour. Transfer to a plate and in the same pan toss ½ cup crushed almonds and ½ cup cashews. Next, add these to the coconut and add 1cup leftover malai, mix it all together. Add in ½ cup dates jaggery and mix it all together and roll small ladoos and enjoy.

​Malai Sandwich


There’s nothing more delightful than a delicious creamy sandwich. So, if you don’t want to go for a store bought mayonnaise, you can use leftover malai as a spread. To make this delicious sandwich take 3 tablespoons of malai, mix it with 2 tablespoons of melted peanut butter, 1 teaspoon oregano, ½ tablespoon chili flakes, garlic powder, salt and pepper as per taste, whisk it together. Once the spread is ready, layer this on 4 slices of bread, add in veggies, boiled egg and cheese slices. Grill and serve hot.

​Malai Fruit Salad


To make this quick salad, take a bowl and add in ½ cup leftover cream, whisk it with 2 tablespoons of honey, cinnamon powder, and vanilla essence. Next, add in 1 chopped apple, 1 chopped banana, ¼ cup pineapple, handful of cherries, ½ orange. Mix it all together and enjoy.
