Zomato's "The Shelter Project"

If there is a slight delay in food delivery, we never think twice before shouting at the delivery staff. But, have you ever thought how much they suffer and exhaust themselves while making sure that your food is delivered on time? Well, Zomato has finally given it a thought and taken an initiative to ensure the well-being of the staff. They recently started an initiative called "The Shelter Project", under which they have set up public resting points where delivery persons can take a break from their exhausting routine and use amenities like the washroom, internet, and phone-charging stations.

What’s the initiative?

In a tweet, Zomato's Chief Executive Officer Deepinder Goyal made the announcement and mentioned that the resting points have been built as part of Zomato's "The Shelter Project" and will be available to delivery partners of various companies. He also shared a picture where Zomato and Swiggy delivery persons can be seen sitting, eating, and taking rest on chairs at one of the rest points.
