The right direction to eat food daily

Vastu Shastra is the ancient science of architecture that is said to have a deep impact on our health. It unifies astrology, science, art and astronomy. In the ancient texts of Vastu Shastra, it has been clearly mentioned that health and Vastu or directions are interconnected. It is said that the house a person lives in is a living entity that has its own vibration and energy. The connection is so much that every corner of the house governs a particular organ of the body and if there is an imbalance, then the body organ will be affected by it. All the directions of a house are governed by five elements of nature i.e., air (Vayu), water (Jal), fire (Tejas), earth (Prithvi) and space (Aakash) and each corner or direction is governed by them. Now, to obtain the perfect health, it is said that one should eat in a particular direction. Read to know more. (Images courtesy: iStock)

Importance of directions

According to the Vastu Shastra, the direction one sits while eating has both positive as well as negative effects on one’s health and physique. If you are concerned about your health then you should definitely consider reading this article to know about the health risks a direction can pose while eating food.

East direction

According to Vastu Shastra, when you eat while facing the East direction your brain is energized and the digestion is better. As we all know, digestion is the root cause of all the problems and thus one should always eat while sitting in this direction. East direction is best suited for those who have a weak digestion system.

West direction

This is also a good direction for eating food as it is considered to be the direction of profit. When you sit facing the west direction, it channelizes your mind. According to the Vastu Shastra, this direction is considered good for those in business, employment or professionals in the field of writing, research and education. Vastu says when you eat facing the West direction, it can multiply your chances of profits.

5/7

North direction

This direction is suited for those looking for knowledge and money. North direction is suited for students and people preparing for competitive exams to have food in this direction. This direction is also suggested for eating food to those, who are in the early stages of their career.

6/7

South direction

This is the worst of all. South is the direction for dead people and thus the Vastu Shastra suggests avoiding eating in this direction. This is the direction of Yama or Yamaraj (God of Death), and thus the Vastu says that it should be avoided. Especially, if someone’s parents are alive then make sure you never eat while sitting in this direction.

7/7

Correct direction for dining room

According to Vastu Shastra, the dining room should always be in the west direction of the house. This direction is considered auspicious and profitable and when people eat in this direction, it leads to good health, and there will be no shortage of food and other valuable things.
