What to eat or drink?

What to eat or drink to detox can be a tricky question, but as per Ayurveda experts, going for a diet which has the right balance of fiber, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and probiotics is the best way to remove toxins. It is also advised to avoid foods that contain sugar and excessive salt or additives, this can ruin the chances of natural detoxification.

More time to digest

A vital way to ensure that the food you eat is digested and doesn't turn into a breeding ground for bacteria is by keeping a healthy gap between meals. It is advised to eat the last meal of the day by 7pm to give the body much needed time to digest.

Add more probiotics

The addition of probiotics during lunch or breakfast can help in calming the acidic reactions and also improve metabolism as well as gut health. The good bacteria in fermented food like curd, buttermilk or kombucha are not only good for digestion, but also help in boosting metabolic rate, which further helps in weight management.
