Change in weather, seasons or drinking cold water can often cause sore throat even during the scorching hot summers. What makes it even more tricky is the hot weather, wherein consuming foods with a hot potency can trigger other health issues like food poisoning, diarrhea and what not! Interestingly, tea, ginger and honey are some of the common foods that help in healing sore throat or cold, but here are 5 different foods that experts vouch for to help heal cold and sore throat easily.
Oatmeal
This would sound confusing but going for a bowl of oatmeal topped with fruits can help in healing sore throat easily. This is because of antioxidants, zinc, and magnesium, potassium present in fruits like banana, oranges, lime, berries etc. Make sure to add Vitamin C rich food to this homemade bowl and enjoy.To increase the efficacy of this meal to heal the throat pain, you can also add in a dash of nutmeg/cinnamon, honey or ginger.
