The best tip to brew a healthy tea

To ensure you get the most out of your regular cuppa make sure you add ingredients that are healthy. According to chef Sanjeev Kapoor, the secret to brewing the right cup of tea is that every ingredient must be given ample time to release its goodness into the water. The chef recently shared a simple way to make a healthy cup of chai by adding a few ingredients step-by-step.

To make Sanjeev Kapoor’s healthy herbal chai, take 2 cups of water in an electric kettle or in a deep-bottomed vessel.

Next, add 2 stalks of lemongrass and allow it to brew followed by ginger slices, lemon slices, tulsi leaves, cloves, and cardamom pods.

Once the blend starts boiling, add ½ teaspoon tea powder or tea leaves. Allow it to brew and turn off the heat.

In the meantime, add some honey to the cup and strain the tea and enjoy it warm.
