Right way to make Chicken Malai Tikka in an air fryer

This is for all the chicken lovers and make for an interesting Iftar party snack dish. Made with boneless chicken pieces, cream, and mild spices, this uses very less oil or butter and makes for a healthy snack made under 20 minutes. Scroll down to read the details.

Ingredients


500 g boneless chicken, ½ cup thick hung curd, 3 tbsp fresh cream, 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste, 1 tbsp processed cheese, 1 tsp white pepper powder, ½ tsp black pepper, ½ tsp garam masala, 1 tsp lemon juice, salt to taste, 1 tbsp cornflour, 1 tbsp oil or melted butter, and chaat masala

Step 1


First of all, wash the chicken cubes properly under running water and pat dry.

Make light slits for better flavor absorption and let them rest for 5 minutes.

In the meantime, mix hung curd, cream, cheese, ginger-garlic paste, spices, lemon juice, cornflour, and oil until smooth.

Add chicken and coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Preheat the air fryer at 180°C for 5 minutes.

Place chicken pieces on skewers or directly in the basket and air fry at 180°C for 10 minutes.

Flip, brush lightly with butter and air fry again at 200°C for 4–6 minutes for slight char. Once done, sprinkle chaat masala and serve hot with onion rings and mint chutney.
