Coronavirus or nCoV has till date killed more than 900 people around the world and in a recent report, patients at Wuhan's Coronavirus hospital are being served turtle soup for dinner. What is Coronavirus?

First identified in the 1960s, it is a kind of common virus that causes an infection in your nose, sinuses, or upper throat. Studies say that some of the coronavirus strains are fatal. They get their name from their crown-like shape and can infect both animals and humans.

Why softshell turtles are being served?

According to traditional Chinese medicine, softshell turtles are highly nutritious and are rich in protein content and can help sick people recover quickly. They are either wild or bred in farms and are made into a nutritious broth, which is served to patients twice a day.
