Irregular dental care and some bad habits can make your teeth lose their shine and in course of time they turn a dull yellow. These remedies will give you sparkling white teeth within a few days. The best part is that you don’t have to rush to the market to get the ingredients. They are lying on your kitchen counter. Read on!

Turmeric

No, it will not turn your teeth yellow. Turmeric is a gentle abrasive that removes surface stains on the teeth and makes your teeth whiter. It is also packed with anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and antimicrobial properties that are important for maintaining healthy teeth. Sprinkle a pinch of turmeric powder on your toothpaste and brush your teeth. Leave it on for 2-3 minutes. Rinse with water and then brush with your regular toothpaste after this.Repeat this 2-3 times a week.

Strawberry with baking soda

Strawberry is a major source of vitamin C that makes teeth whiter, brighter, and beautiful. Mix the pulp of one strawberry with a tsp of baking soda. Rub this paste all over your teeth gently and massage. Let it sit for a few minutes and then, brush your teeth.

Orange peel

This is one of the most popular remedies to whiten your teeth naturally. The acidic property of orange peel makes it a powerful bleaching agent that helps in removing yellow tinge on the teeth. Take an orange and rub the inside of the peel over your teeth for 2 to 3 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and brush your teeth with regular toothpaste. Do this every night before you go to sleep for a week.

Sun dry the basil leaves for a few hours. Make a paste of the dried leaves and mix it with your regular toothpaste. Use this mixture to brush your teeth. Using this remedy will give you instant results. Repeat after a few days if required.

Place one tbsp of organic coconut oil in your mouth and swirl it around your mouth for 5-15 minutes. Spit it out and rinse your mouth thoroughly with cool water. Do this once daily in the morning before you start your day for effective results.
